Successfully Selling Vancouver Real Estate For Over 40 Years
David started his first year in business by winning "The Rookie of the Year" award as the number one salesman for all of British Columbia for the major national Canadian real estate company at the time, A.E.LePage. In March 2021, David received Re/Max's 100% Award, a recognition of his continuing ability to stay 'on top of his game'.
David's family has deep roots in Vancouver. His grandfather arrived in Vancouver in 1894 from Stoke-on-Trent, England and was partner with his two brothers in W.H.Malkin & Co., wholesale grocers, located on Water Street in Gastown where The Spaghetti Factory restaurant now operates.
David's great uncle William was Mayor of Vancouver in the early thirties and donated Malkin Bowl, an open-air theatre in Stanley Park, to the City in memory of his first wife, Marion. He also donated Malkin Park in Kerrisdale to the City of Vancouver in 1959. David's father, James, started Malkin and Pinton Industrial Supplies in the late forties and supplied B.C. and Alberta industry from the 50's into the 90's.
